St Albans Ladies Circle is about fund raising within the local community and socialising with a group of ladies between 18-45 with variant backgrounds and ages. This is a great way to meet new people and make new friends!
I hope the website give’s you an idea of what St Albans Ladies Circle have been up to and 2010 looks like it will have lots more to offer too. We have a post Christmas swap shop in January and also a Champney’s Pamper Evening coming in February. We are mainly raising money for our voted Charity ‘Earthworks’, but also raise money for other charities throughout the year.
I joined the group, because I was moving to the area, and wanted to meet new people and be involved in something within the community. I found this website and well I e-mailed and went to a meeting to see what it was all about!
I was nervous at first, especially as I went on my own. But it didn’t matter once I got there as everyone made me feel welcome and I am glad I overcame the nerves and joined.
Now a little over a year later, I am part of the committee group and deal with enquires from the website and try and make it as easy to join in the fun and fundraising. I have had so much fun from Cinema and bowling outings to Ghost Walks and a Burlesque class. Not forgetting baking a cake (which is not something I do as I am not much of a cook) for charity fund raiser and walking around in the snow with Santa’s Float to raise money for local charities.
